![]() he last three years have been a challenge and Realtors have never worked harder. The tax credit is gone and it has become a bit quiet, but believe me when I tell you the “Entitlement Program” is over, and for the most part everyone should be very happy to get back to the norm. We as Realtors need to educate people and give them sound advice … “You need to save money for a down payment and then you can buy the American Dream”.It’s interesting to see the housing numbers for Brecksville. Our current statistics are very positive with 133 Active Listings (93 Homes / 40 Condos). When I compare our current numbers to the last two years there’s “Encouragement”. These numbers indicate that we have hit bottom and that the pendulum is on its way up, although admittedly it will be a very slow gain as we’re being told that the next foreclosure sweep is on its way and will not peak until September of ’12. The following shows the statistics of the last four years vs. our current numbers: To those who were forced to sell their home in the last two years, depending on the time of purchase, probably felt a little “sting”, however compared to other suburbs that lost up to 34% of value, we did very well! The strength of our City is due to our award winning schools, an incredible Community Center, a strong local government and pride of ownership in every neighborhood. I would be remiss not to mention that RE/MAX Agents have the most experience in the Real Estate Industry and surpass any other company in sales per transaction.
